Difference of GN international high standard and GN economic standard

1) Bowl material and conveyer:

High standard centrifuges use Duplex Stainless Steel 2205 by centrifugal casting, while economic standard use stainless steel 304 material

2) Screw protection

High standard centrifuges use interchangeable Tungsten Carbide Tiles, while economic standard centrifuge use ceramic tiles.

Remarks: Normal Chinese brand only use hard surface welding. The protection material is very thin. It is difficult for maintenance or prepare.

3) Bearing brand:

High standard centrifuges use famous brand SKF / FAG original bearing. While economic standard use NSK brand bearing.  

4) VFD control system

High standard centrifuges is 3 VFD for main drive motor, back drive motor and feeding pump. It useS PLC for smart control. The VFD panel is positive pressurized for hazardous areas. And with ATEX or IEC standard for option.

Dewatering unit for drilling waste management system

Applications of dewatering unit
1) Dewatering unit is an important part for waste water treatment.
2) Combined with high speed or super high speed decanter centrifuge, dewatering unit is widely used for water base mud drilling cuttings treatment.
3) Dewatering unit can be used in TBM (Tunnel Boring Machine) drilling mud system
4) Dewatering unit can be used in dredging slurry separation system in civil projects. In this case, it is used together with belt compressor.

Flocculants is the most important part to effect dewatering unit performance. In order to insure a better performance of dewatering unit, we should pay attention on below points:
(1) If the surface of the flocculants powder is dissolved too rapidly, there will be particle mutually attached, therefore it will cause the particle interior does not be dissolved completely; the usual operation is to use various types of dispersing and dissolving device.
(2) Per different conditions, the time used to dissolve the flocculants varies. The main factors may as below:
A. The types of flocculants be used;
B. The water quality used as dissolution;
C. The temperature of water
D. The mixing efficiency.
Normally, its takes around 1hour for flocculants powder to be fully dissolved. If the flocculants cannot be mixing completely, it will reduce the performance.

Dewatering unit Design in drilling waste management field
Dewatering unit is usually put into container. GN Solids Control company offers 20ft containerized dewatering unit and 40ft containerized dewatering unit.
Dewater centrifuge for dewatering unit can be put into the container, inside the container or even on the top of container.

When dewatering unit is used together with decanter centrifuge. It should pay attention to that: the chemicals should add on centrifuge feeding pump outlet pipe, and before enter into centrifuge. Variable frequency drive decanter centrifuge working principal and Application

Working principal of VFD decanter centrifuge:

GN use Netzsch Brand NEMO pump to feed the drilling mud into the feed tube and flow to the centrifuge bowl, the bowl rotates high speed under , the screw conveyor, which is inside the bowl ,get a differential speed through the gearbox. The bowl and conveyor compose the pulley and belt with the differential speed and rotates in the same direction.

Under the working of different centrifugal force , the heavier solids paticles is pushed to the inner bowl and pushed theought the screw to the solids discharge port, the lighter weight fluids is settle down and discharged through the fluids output port, which with 6pcs adjustable dams to adjust the fluids pond depth inside the centrifuge bow.

Viriable frequency drive decanter centrifuge can adjust the screw rotary speed to achieve different working purpose. For example, when start the centrifuge, firstly you start it with a low frequency to get a lower electric currency to protect the VFD control panle, when it works stably, you can adjust the frequency to your required data to get your required performance. For the drilling mud with high gravity solids, 2500rpm rotation speed is required; for the drilling fluids with low gravity solids, 3200rpm is recommend. To collect the barite, 1800rpm is recommend. But such recommendation is just for oil & gas drilling, not inludes food, waste water, etc.

CBM drilling double deck shale shaker

Double deck shale shaker is widely used in CBM drilling (Coal bed methane), piling, micro tunneling and other HDD rig mud system as its big capacity and compact design. The top deck shaker screen can use steel screen (0.1mm, 0.2mm, 1mm etc… per jobsite condition) to separate the coarse size. The bottom deck use normal pretensioned frame screen (API40, 60, 80 etc…)

Applications of GNZS705 double deck shale shaker

GNZS705 is a hot sale shaker model made by GN Solids Control company It is a double deck shale shaker with 5 screen panels: 2 screen panels in top deck and 3 screen panel in bottom deck. When the shaker model is used in CBM drilling system, piling system or micron tunneling mud cleaning system, customer choose steel frame screen for long lifetime and big volume. General description of Hydraucyclone desander desitler

Hydraucyclone is a normal parts used for mining industry, for drilling field, for waste water separation, soil depuration. In drilling field. Hydraucyclone can be used as desander desilter per different size. Or combined with shale shaker to work as mud cleaner. 

Big size desander cone normally used for mining, piling or CBM drilling.  Hydraucyclone for desander desilter in drilling fieldi usually small size:

Principle of Hydraucyclone for desander desitler

Hydrocyclone is a cylindrical part of the conical vessel. The upper part of the internal cone section called the liquid cavity. Cone outside is provided with a liquid inlet pipe, and the liquid cavity is communicated to the tangential direction. The top of the container is the overflow port, the bottom is underflow (also called the discharging port). Cyclone size is determined by the maximum diameter of the cone. Its working principle is centrifugal sedimentation. Because of the coarse particles and fine particle size difference exists (or density difference), the centrifugal force, under the centripetal buoyancy, drag force of different sizes, due to the centrifugal sedimentation, pyramidal intermediate creates a low pressure area, forming a column of air, caused by vacuum suction effect, play, most of the fine particles in the cyclone under the actions of upper discharged from the overflow tube, heavy particles thrown to the wall of the barrel, slide along the barrel wall, from bottom outlet.
