Pump installation

Pump installation location should be near to
the source and purposely to shorten the length of the suction period and
prevent the suction loss. Pump installed base should be leveled, firm and secured
in order to avoid vibration during operation.

 Coupling installation

The pump and motor for a long use life depends
on the elastic coupling. Available steel straightedge by coupling the up and
down or so, with the view straightedge and coupling the garden all parties
should contact closely. Namely coupling outside garden parties should be in a
straight line to make sure that the motor shaft and pump shaft coaxial angle.

 Entrance pipeline installation

Entrance piping shall be in accordance with
the pump inlet matching.

Suction piping not allowed to install throttle
valve, but can be installed normally open valve to reduce fluid flow disorder. To
avoid suction people line produced in steam bubble, the pumping source and
between pump from high to low gradually transition. If users need to pump in
use suction conditions, use vacuum pump or bottom valve pilot.

Pump at the entrance line must be flat; the
length of at least two times the diameter of the inlet line.

Exit line

In order to facilitate pump maintenance, the exit
pipeline should be installed normally with open valve.

All line (including population line) must have
their own support.

When work condition is unknown or unstable,
export in pipeline must be installed throttle valve in order to ensure the pump
in the design point operation.

When the pump discharge and pressure equipment
connected, the throttle valve and pump must install a check valve to prevent
the liquid reflux, otherwise, the return fluid can lead to damage

Box Used on Drilling Site

Cuttings box is also called cuttings collection box
that is widely used on drilling site as a temporary vessel to collect and store
the drilling waste cuttings. Due to the purpose of the cuttings box, it is
designed compact and easy for transportation. Once the cuttings box is full, it
could be replaced by an empty one.

The cuttings box is always used on the drilling
site where the mud pit is not available. In the solids control system, the cuttings boxes are always located under the solids discharge
chute of the shale shaker to collect the cuttings out of the primary shaker.
Same situation as the cuttings box located with the de-sander, de-silter and decanter centrifuge.

Most of the cuttings boxes are simple without a
cover. And if you want move it, you need be careful as the cuttings still with
large content liquid will splash out. With consideration on this, GN Solids
Control designed a type waste cuttings box with a fully sealed cover on it.
When collecting the cutting, the cover is open; when transportation, the cover
is locked easily to prevent the splashing of the cuttings. It is an ideal
container to meet the requirements of HSE regulations for hazardous waste
movement. Not only for waste cuttings, also for some other hazardous waste
discharges. At the bottom frame of GN’s cuttings box, the forklift loading
grooves are designed for easy moving and replacing.

The advantage to use cutting box is no need dig a
mud pit on the ground, then the pitless mud recycling system as well as waste cuttings management system are realized. Fully covered box could be transported safely and easily
for waste management plant where the waste would be further treated. The disadvantage
is you may need many cuttings box stock on drilling site so that you could
replace a full one immediately. The cutting boxes everywhere would occupy much
area of the site.

3 sets 500GPM mud recycling system for CPP

3 sets GN fast removable mud recycling system for HDD rigs will be dispatched to the client this week. It is customized system for CPP rigs. CPP engineering team visit GN factory and check the system before dispatch and very satisfied. The 3 new systems are customized with 500gpm capacity also, but can up to as 1000GPM mud system capacity when needed.
The 500gpm ~ 1000 GPM mud recycling systems are composed of below equipment:
1) Mud tank 1 ea. The size of the tank is the same with 20ft standard container, and equipped with ISO blocks. Walkways and handrails are all foldable type design for fast movement. During inland shipment, the users no need to remove the walkways and handrails, they only need to take off the pin shaft and supporting beam of walkway, and fold up the walkway and handrails to the tank side wall.
2) Mud cleaner desander (model GNZS706E-2S) with double deck shale shaker. It is the combination of a double deck shale shaker and 2 each 10’’ desander cones. The bottom shaker deck can be used as solids control shale shaker for preseparation.
3) Mud desilter cleaner (model GNZS706E-8N) with a double deck shale shaker underneath. The bottom deck of the shaker will be used as solids control shale shaker.
The 1 ea desander mud cleaner and 1 ea desilter mud cleaner are mounted in a lifting frame, they can be moved as a compete part during shipment when needed.
4) Feeding pump for desander and desilter cones are mounted in the slope of the mud tank for a compact design.
